Show Procedures, Information and Fees

Horse Showing

Accessories-

All horse/riders attending overnight shows will need to have a RCR stall drape, stall sign and tack trunk.

 

Entries —

Should be filled out and/or sent by client prior to closing date of show entries after verifying RCR attendance. A stall for each horse should be included on the entry as well as a minimum of one class.  Office entries will be amended and corrected by a trainer at the horse show, classes are chosen by the trainer to ensure the best results for the horse and rider.  It is requested that you close out your account in the show office no later than Sunday morning. Should entries need to be made by RCR a $25 charge will be charged.

Day Care —

Provided for all horses/riders participating at any horse show. Includes grooming, trainer coaching, pre-show organization and show office. Fees begin the first day at the show grounds, this rate is per horse

 

Grooming —

Provided at all horse shows.  This will ensure the care of your horse during a given show.  Grooming includes: feeding, watering, stall cleaning, bathing, lunging, tacking and un-tacking, and the final preparation that gets your horse to the ring. Grooming Tip Required: $20 per day per horse minimum.

 

Feed & Bedding —

Provided and distributed throughout the show.  Fees will be divided equally among the number of horses at a show. This fee will be paid directly to the show and will be listed on the Trainer split.

 

Tack/Groom/Feed Stalls —

Needed to provide working space and storage during the show.  Rates will vary depending on the specific needs of the competition.  Fees to be divided equally among the number of horses at a show. This fee will be paid directly to the show and will be listed on the Trainer split.

 

Shipping Transportation —

Arrangements will be made by RCR Staff, unless otherwise notified. Rates will vary depending on location.  It is requested that this fee be paid directly to the company and no later than Sunday morning, paid by check or Venmo.

 

Braiding —

Arranged by RCR Staff.  For all hunters and equitation horses. It is requested that this fee be paid directly to the company used no later than Saturday afternoon, paid by check or Venmo.

 

Medication —

Should be provided to RCR by owner 7 days prior to the start of the show. Medicating will begin the day of arrival at each show.  Prescribed and administered depending on the needs of the individual horse, ask a staff member what your horse needs.  RCR provided medication rates may vary as the cost of medication is subject to change.

 

Trainer Expenses —

Expenses will be billed on your next bill. Expenses include: trainer expenses, hotel accommodations trainer/grooms, supplies and any additional set-up charges incurred at a given show.  These charges may vary depending on the location and type of show.  Fees to be divided equally among the number of clients at a show.

 

Ride Fees-

Ride fees will be charged for preparation of the horse to show as well as for showing the horse. Charged per day for horses in full care training, per class for horses not in full care training.

 

Horse Show Deposit/Payment —

A bill for horse show care will be in the tack room by the second day of the show to cover upfront costs paid by RCR.  It is requested that this fee be paid directly to RCR and no later than Sunday morning, paid by check or Venmo. Deposit/payment will be applied directly to your next bill. Large or out of state shows will be billed prior to the date of horse shows.

 

*Day Care, Medication, Ride Fees and Trainer Expenses will be charged on your monthly invoice after date of show, a credit will be issued for payments made at the show.

A rebate of $100 will be credited to the monthly board and training fee for each horse show a horse attends. (Attendance at the show to be a minimum of 4 days)

A service charge of $50 will be assessed if RCR has to cover costs because Owner does not send checks or pay all fees associated with the horse show (entries, deposit, braiding).

Show Fees:

 

Day Care- Includes grooming, trainer coaching, pre-show organization and show office.

 

Day Care- Full Care Training Horses- $125 per day each day the horse is at the show.

Day Care- Training Horses- $135 per day each day the horse is at the show.

Day Care- Non-Training Horses- $150 per day each day the horse is at the show.

Day Care- Training horses only- (when 3 horses or less attend the show) - $250 per day each day the horse is at the show.

 

Staff and Grooms are hired based upon number of horses attending the show, and the number of days of the show. Should you want or need your horse to depart early, the trainer split will still be the same as feed orders were made based upon number of horses and days at the show, a grooms fee of $75 per day will apply. In the unfortunate occurrence of injury or illness of horse at a show owner will still be responsible for share of expenses and $85 daycare for the number of days horse remains at show.

 

Additional Fees-

 

Ride Fees - $50 per day Full Care Training, $50 per class others

Tack Trunk Rental if available - $ 30 Training, $ 50 Non-Training

 

Classes with a prize of $2,500 or more in which a RCR Professional rides, 20% of the purse earned will go to RCR.

Hauling-

Hauling rates are currently- $100 base hook up fee and $2 per mile. Small loads, out of state and/or long hauls may incur a gas surcharge.

 

SHOW SCRATCHES and CANCELLATIONS-

Once entries have been received by the horse show, you will be responsible for any nonrefundable office fees, scratch fees, and stall fees from the show itself, should you decide to cancel.

If feed and shavings have been ordered prior to the cancellation, feed and shavings is non-refundable and will be on your bill from the horse show office in addition to the above listed fees.

Should you cancel between 7 days and 48 hours prior to the horses leaving for the show, in addition to the fees listed above, there will be a 75% charge for grooming and share of expenses. Should you cancel within 48hrs or less, there will be a 100% charge for grooming and share of expenses, as well as pre-arraigned horse transportation.

Additionally, you will be charged a cancellation fee of $25/day based on the number of day care fees that would have applied. For example, for a 3 day show, the cancellation fee would be $75.

If you have signed up for a show and will be canceling, please let us know as early as possible. We will do our very best to minimize the cancellation costs.
